We came across an interesting problem this week when launching a new website for a demolition and remediation services company. Initially, the client couldn't see the images placed at the top of each page. This only happened when he used his laptop - he could see the images perfectly on his desktop and on other laptops. Hmmmm, after some searching, we discovered that the client's anti-spam software had been configured to prevent the display of banner ads - so you might wonder what that had to do with our images? Well we had named the images with the word "banner" in the path - our way of saying "it's the image that goes at the top". The software was picking up on the word banner and as a result was showing a plain grey box where our image should have been!

So if you ever have a problem viewing images on some websites, you might want to check the settings on your anti-spam software. And note to self - don't use "banner" anywhere in the image path!. Our images have all been rernamed now and we're pleased to report that the client can see the site as we intended.
